Search engine optimization - What is it?

SEO is a term used to describe the optimization of a website for maximum search engine "compatibility, attention, and exposure" Those terms are in quotes because they are words that I have chosen to explain SEO in more lamens terms.

Why do people do seo for their websites?

If it isn’t already obvious, that’s ok, but the main reason is because the more sites/pages you have listed in the search engines, and the higher they rank - the more traffic (visitors) you will get to your sites. If your website is designed to make money, then the more traffic you get the more money your site will make. Now it must be obvious that SEO is used to make websites succeed online. Now lets learn the basics of SEO.

I believe that there is no such thing has perfect SEO. In other words, there is no absolute definite answer to SEO. Why? Because SEO is basically reverse engineering the search engines - and that’s said to be impossible. I believe there are many different forms of successful SEO. There are also common, widely known, successful SEO techniques as well. For me or anyone else to try to teach SEO to someone else would be leaving them in the dark about certain helpful tips or tricks. To learn successful SEO, you must read the publishing’s and teachings of many different SEO experts and then develop your own based on your own trail and error experiences.

I believe everyone has the power to read 1000's of expert articles and publishing’s on SEO in a short period of time. Reading articles and learning how to apply the techniques to websites will be the best way to learn and achieve success with your online business.
